Onesie (or Baby One-Piece):
Onesie
or “onesize” is American English for a bodysuit for infants; it is designed to conceal a diaper when worn. It is also known as a creeper, diaper shirt or snapsuit. The British equivalent is referred to as babygro . Onesie is a generic zed trademark registered to Gerber Childrens wear, Inc. Babygro is also a trademark brand, and was invented in the U.S. in the 1950s by Walter Artzt.

The shirt extends past the waist and has snaps or buttons that allow it to be closed at the base, offering support to a diaper. Onesies are often worn by infants in place of shirts due to their ability to stay tucked, which is difficult to maintain with infants wearing regular style shirts. They are worn commonly by very small children.

Onesies make wonderful gifts for expecting or new mothers. They are sometimes incorporated into party games played during a baby shower. One popular game is for guests to custom decorate plain creepers prior to the arrival of the expecting or new mother. We provide an array of onesies, from pastel pink, blues, and yellows, to brightly colored onesies. Just look at our product selection.

Baby Beanies (or Beany):
This is a tight-fitting skull cap, often very small and round. Lots of heat in a baby’s body escapes through the head, so a beanie can make your baby boy or girl feel warm and comfy. They are very cute blanks and come in a variety of colors.

Baby Bibs:
A piece of cloth that covers the chest and is often tied under the chin or around the back of a child’s neck to protect the clothing while the baby is eating. We offer plain bibs and blank bibs with colored trim.

Baby Burp Cloth:
Burp Cloths are useful as Burp rags, laid over your shoulder or lap while you burp your baby.

Baby Receiving Blankets:
Receiving blankets are simple and indispensable rectangles or squares of soft material used for many purposes a new mother can come up with. They make wonderful baby shower gifts.

Receiving blankets are usually 30’’ by 40’’ in size: making them large enough to wrap in layers to compensate for heat and cold. Simplicity for new mothers is important, so all receiving blankets have finished edges, are usually pre-shrunk, and are machine washable and dryable.

About Baby Newborn Infant Beanies, Baseball Cap, Headbands & Hats:

Beanies: Beanie is the name for two distinct types of cap or hat. The name "beanie" probably comes from the early-20th century slang term "bean," meaning "head". The beanie cap is typically made of wool felt, and was popular amongst school age boys from the 1920s to the early 1940s. Beanies are brimless and either have a small embellished visor or, more commonly, no visor at all.

One popular style of the beanie during the early half of the twentieth century was a skullcap made of four or six felt panels sewn together to form the cap. The panels were often composed of two or more different colors to make them novel. This type of beanie was also very popular with college fraternities as they would often incorporate school colors into the beanie.

Another style of beanie was a formed and pressed wool hat with a flipped up brim that formed a band around the bottom of the cap. The band would often have a decorative repeating zigzag or scalloped pattern cut around the edge. It was also quite common for schoolboys to adorn their beanies with buttons and pins.

By the mid 1940s, beanies fell out of popularity as a hat in favor of cotton visored caps like the baseball cap although in the 1950s and possibly beyond, they were worn by college freshmen and various fraternities as a form of mild hazing. In the early 1990s, the beanie saw a reemergence in popularity due to the "grunge" clothing trend as well as the popularization of snowboarding and other cold weather sports activities. The modern beanie is usually made of fleece, or special synthetic material that wicks moisture away. Woven versions, resembling tobogganing caps, are also popular sportswear accessories for winter sports—such as snowboarding.

The Laughing Giraffe ® has beanies in 100% Cotton and 65% Polyester/35% Cotton Blend.

Baseball Caps: A baseball cap is a type of soft cap with a long, stiff brim that may either be curved or flat. The back of the cap may have a plastic, Velcro, or elastic adjuster so that it can be quickly adjusted to fit different wearers.

Headbands: Over time the wearing of headbands has changed from being worn to special occasions and important events to more of a fashionable accessory. There are many kinds of headbands such as, leathered, plastic, metal, fabric, toothed and novelty. The leather headbands are usually glued onto a harder plastic headband, or they are hand-stitched. Plastic headbands, which are most common, can be wavy, straight or angled and come in many colors. Metal can also be used to form and support leather headbands. Metal-only headbands may be plain or decorated, sometimes with precious jewels. Fabric headbands are comfortable because they do not dig into the head. They usually have an elastic band, so that the headband forms to the head. The toothed headbands have comb-like teeth that are connected to the top part of the headband. Their teeth ensure that the hair stays in place. Novelty headbands can be used for holidays and may have decorations attached such as bunny ears, reindeer ears, Santa Claus hats and others. Headbands are often are part of a larger fashion statement - they can be color coded and matched accordingly to one's outfit. In Japanese culture, hachimaki headbands may symbolise determination or devotion.

Some Laughing Giraffe ® Trivia: A Beanie Baby is a stuffed animal, introduced on January 8, 1993, and made by Ty Warner Inc., which was later renamed as Ty Inc. Each toy has an inner "posable lining" and is stuffed with plastic pellets (or "beans") rather than stuffing (see PVC and PE), giving Beanie Babies a flexible feel. The original nine Beanie Babies launched in May 1993 were Legs the Frog, Squealer the Pig, Spot the Dog, Flash the Dolphin, Splash the Whale, Chocolate the Moose, Patti the Platypus, Brownie the Bear (later renamed "Cubbie") and Punchers the Lobster (later renamed "Pinchers"), Valentino, The valentine's Bear was introduced in late 1993 (not part of the Original 9)[1][2]. The line became a phenomenon in the late 90s when Beanie Babies became both a fad and a collectible. Ty decided to stop making Beanies in 1999; however, consumer demand made Ty Warner change his mind. He continues to run Ty Inc. and design new Beanie Babies to this day?Teenie Beanies, an offshoot of the Beanie Babies line, were made by additional manufacturers for a few McDonalds Happy Meal promotions.
